The Naval Ship Repair Yard (NSRY), Sri Vijaya Puram, functioning under the Andaman and Nicobar Command of the Indian Navy (Ministry of Defence), invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for its one-year Technician (Vocational) Apprentice Training Programme (Batch IT-03 / 2026–27). This recruitment drive offers 50 designated apprentice positions across various industrial and engineering disciplines, including Electrician, Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Welder, Machinist, ICTSM, COPA, and Ref & AC. Candidates who have successfully passed Class 10th (Matriculation) along with an ITI certificate (NCVT/SCVT recognized) in the respective trade and have reached a minimum age of 18 years are eligible to apply. The selection procedure evaluates candidates based on academic merit (Class 10th and ITI marks aggregate), followed by a technical/practical interview, document verification, and a medical fitness examination. Selected apprentices will undergo comprehensive, hands-on naval engineering training at Sri Vijaya Puram (Andaman & Nicobar Islands) and receive a monthly stipend in accordance with prevailing government apprenticeship norms.
