The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is currently conducting the Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks (CRP RRBs XV) for over 13,700 vacancies across 43 participating rural banks nationwide. This active recruitment drive includes 8,183 posts for Office Assistant (Multipurpose), 4,256 posts for Officer Scale-I (Probationary Officer), along with specialized and managerial positions under Officer Scale-II (1,047 posts) and Officer Scale-III (220 posts). Online applications opened on September 1, 2026, and will close on September 21, 2026, through the official portal ibps.in. The application fee is ₹175 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates and ₹850 for all other categories. The selection procedure consists of online preliminary and main examinations for Office Assistants and Officer Scale-I (with an interview round for Officer Scale-I), scheduled between November 2026 and January 2027, while Officer Scale-II and III selections are conducted via a single online examination followed by an interview in December 2026.
Eligibility
Candidate eligibility requires an age limit calculated as of September 1, 2026: 18 to 28 years for Office Assistant (Multipurpose), 18 to 30 years for Officer Scale-I, 21 to 32 years for Officer Scale-II, and 21 to 40 years for Officer Scale-III, with standard relaxations for reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen) as per Central Government norms. In terms of educational qualifications, applicants for Office Assistant (Clerk) and Officer Scale-I (PO) must hold a recognized Bachelor's Degree in any discipline, demonstrate working knowledge of computers, and possess proficiency in the local language of the participating state/UT applied for. For Officer Scale-II Specialist posts (such as IT, Law, Finance, and Treasury) and Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager), candidates require specific relevant degrees (such as Engineering, CA, MBA, or Law) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, accompanied by 1 to 5 years of mandatory post-qualification banking or financial executive experience. Candidates may apply simultaneously for the post of Office Assistant and one post within the Officer cadre.
